I'm sure you are aware how obsessed I am at the moment with smoothies. I love my 'ESS' Green Smoothie especially at breakfast time, however, some days I just need another 'pick me up'.
My all-day smoothie though is fast becoming my new favourite. When I'm at work it can be very easy to grab unhealthy snacks mid-afternoon if I get really hungry. Plus I only have literally around 5 minutes in between clients (if that!) so I need to have something that's nice and quick and can allow me to carry on with my afternoon.
Why not try this smoothie recipe to give you a pick me up in the afternoon - or even the morning...
What you will need...
300ml filtered water
3 tablespoons of organic oats
1 teaspoon of organic chia seeds
1 tablespoon of almond butter
1 serving of probiotic powder
1 serving of organic, vegan protein powder
1 sachet of skinade OR 1/2 teaspoon of matcha powder
2 large handfuls of organic spinach (you can't taste it!)
1/4 cup of frozen fruit - I am in LOVE with the M & S Tropical Frozen Fruit in individual packets
Method:
Well, there isn't one really! Just blitz it all together! I would say if you don't have a powerful blender, then blitz everything except the fruit first, then add it afterwards.
Drink over a course of 20-30 minutes to allow your body to digest it properly. If you drink it too fast, your body doesn't recognise it as food and thinks it's a drink. The problem with this is that it will be digested too quickly and then you won't feel full from it.
Hope you enjoy,
Thanks so much for reading,
Big love,
